Jil Sander’s launching a new fragrance for fall

Scent 79, for both men and women, will debut stateside exclusively at Neiman Marcus in November mac brushes, (it’s been available in Europe for almost a year).
It’s allegedly crafted “like haute-couture clothing,” mac makeup combining notes of peach and cranberry with base notes of leather, north face denali wood and musk. The minimalist bottle is supposed to reflect the recent streamlined collections – mostly neutral but with pops of vivid color.
The fragrance could stand to be a bit less heavy handed than Raf Simons’ latest collection.
His sharp menswear-inspired looks matched with a lighter, blackhawks jerseys feminine scent could get even the most crazed girl through fashion week.
389///Kate Moss to Make Makeup
We just got our August Vogue, and we were pleasantly surprised when we realized that Kate isn’t just on the cover – there’s actually an interview with her.
She rarely allows them (Johnny Depp’s old agent famously told her that not allowing interviews will allow her to maintain mystique), so of course we read the whole thing in like thirty seconds.
But tucked in between her cute little quotes – “Let me see if we can get the chopper” – Kate let out a little bit of news -
She’s not just working on a second fragrance for Coty (her first, Kate by Kate Moss will available in the States this August), she’s also working on makeup for them, a new celebrity-driven venture for the giant beauty brand.
Kate would be following in the model-makeup steps of Daria, who created a tiny range for Lancome earlier this year.
From Kate, we fully expect a sick range of kohl eyeliners, and no hair products whatsoever.
(On a sidenote, wouldn’t this compete with the makeup she sells for Rimmel, also owned by Coty? Guess she won’t be making mascara…)
